Needs Assessment: Determine the specific needs of the ICU based on the patient population, expected caseload, and the types of critical care services you plan to offer (e.g., medical, surgical, cardiac, pediatric, or neonatal ICU).

Choose an appropriate location within the healthcare facility for the ICU. It should be easily accessible, close to operating rooms and other necessary departments, and have adequate space for equipment and staff.
